This is a fabulous quality, long, antique Regency mahogany sofa, circa 1820, which has been completely restored traditionally, re-webbed, re-sprung & reupholstered by us in our professional upholstery workshops in Glasgow, Scotland. The frame is very heavy and well-constructed, with traditionally sprung seat, which at some point in the past replaced the Regency cushion. Care has been taken to re-polish the wood while maintaining the original patina of age. The sofa has been re-covered in a fabric from a Milanese fashion house, not available to the general public, which features frogs and lily pads on a mix of Japanese backgrounds. Finished with a dark woven trim from one of the best passementerie companies in Paris.

An elegant Regency sofa which has been brought back to life by our skilled restorers.  Gorgeous mahogany wood, carved with clean and classic lines, is complemented with a playful Etro, Milan fabric. Upon closer inspection, the Japonesque design of the fabric reveals an ‘army’ of mischievous frogs.

A fabulous quality, wide, antique Regency mahogany sofa, circa 1820. It has been completely restored traditionally, re-webbed, re-sprung & reupholstered by our master craftspeople.

The frame is beautifully constructed with a traditionally sprung seat that at some point in the past replaced the Regency cushion.

Great care has been taken in the re-polishing of the wood in order that its original patina of age is maintained.

The sofa has been re-covered in a fabric by the Milanese fashion house Etro, featuring frogs and lily pads on a Japonesque background. The piece has been hand-finished with a dark woven trim by Houlès, Paris; one of the world’s finest passementerie companies.
