An original R W Bamforth thick tubular steel and formica-covered plywood school bench c.1960.
This piece is a wonderfully vibrant orange and would create a unique look in a kitchen or even outdoors, on a patio or in a garden. The bench has such beautiful, pared-down lines and features a comfortable, moulded seat.
It is in excellent condition and maintains its original patina.
Based in West Yorkshire, R W Bamforth produced these benches for schools and offices from the 1950s until their closure in 1971.
Two benches are available. The functional, stackable design makes them extremely easy to store.
