A sublime Louis XVI style, French armchair, fully restored by our master craftspeople.
Much time was spent restoring this chair. It has fresh cotton felt and FR calico, and the wood has been waxed and buffed.
It has been expertly reupholstered in a beautiful linen by Lewis & Wood and hand-finished with a divine Houlès, Paris trim.
Since forming in 1993 by textile printer, Stephen Lewis and interior designer, Joanna Wood, Lewis & Wood have created a substantial collection of textiles and wallpapers which are original products with traditional feel, all printed in-house at their Gloucestershire mill.
Houlès designs and creates the finest of trimmings and fabrics. Still family-owned, the company was established in Paris, by father and son Félix and André Houlès, in 1928. Beginning with one store at 18 rue Saint-Nicolas, the company is now established in over 160 countries worldwide.
Presidential residences and castles, such as le Château de Versailles, often select Houlès’ passements for their restoration projects.
