Description

Topped with glorious finials, this beautiful Arts & Crafts movement, solid oak, dressing chest is a finely-balanced design that would sit perfectly in a classic dressing room or bedroom.

Eight original handles grace all of the drawers; six on three large drawers and small, matched handles on two small drawers.

The chest has been expertly restored by our skilled craftspeople and great care has been taken to maintain the patina of age. It is in excellent condition, in spite of it being over one hundred years old.

The Arts & Crafts movement, initiated by William Morris and championed by fellow designers, marked a revolt against mass-production during the late Victorian period.

This ‘society’ of artists, designers and architects heralded a return to hand-crafted, well-constructed pieces; with the beauty and importance of natural materials at its heart.
